Expected hours of work: Hours are flexible and based on the current job requirements. Standard working hours are 7:00am-3:45pm. The nature of this position may often require time outside of standard hours.
Expected pay rate: Salary is negotiable. East Texas Electric of Longview strives to pay our team members above the market standard.
Job Description
As a member of our project management team, you will oversee all aspects of assigned projects from commencement to completion. You will be responsible for mid to large size ground up or tenant finish projects where complex coordination of multiple subordinate supervisors and crews is required. We are looking for experienced electrical construction professionals who are well organized with project management and foreman experience. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following task and meet the required standards and attributes.
A Project Manager will:
- Responsible for all East Texas Electric construction field trades on an electrical construction project.
- Identify bid opportunities.
- Develop and administer project material and labor budgets.
- Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project.
- Monitor construction activities in conjunction with the onsite foreman to ensure project is being built on schedule and within budget.
- Lay out work for subordinate supervisors and lead persons; is responsible for having material, tools, equipment, information, and appropriate manpower in the proper place in a timely manner.
- Establishes work schedules and man loading charts. Must be proficient with computer, tablet, and smart phone.
- Maintain liaison with prime client and owners to facilitate construction activities.
- Handles or oversees the required office correspondence and administrative paperwork such as official forms, daily reports, time sheets/tickets, safety reports, etc.
- Is responsible for overall project safety performance. Assures employees are properly trained or instructed in performance duties to which assigned.
- Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with the client.
- Manage financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting.
- Set clear goals and expectations to foreman.
- Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns.
- Manage all jobs closeout procedures.
- Develop/maintain network of professional relationships within our industry.
- Provide coaching to foreman.
